Increased workload/expectations

In the recent recession, it seemed that people were keen to have jobs and therefore would be willing to work long hours and meet unrealistic deadlines. Though, even three years later, that notion is prevailing. Deadlines are becoming shorter and unrealistic causing long work hours, many times without overtime compensation. As a profession we need to reevaluate what is being asked of employees or risk burnout and attrition.
